meet the sheep at new life farm

Our resident lawn mowers (the dorpers) are not only part of the family at New Life Farm, they help out here on the farm in a few important ways.

  1. They give our hard-working farmer Darren a break from the mowing in Summer time!
  2. During their travels, their poop is dropped and once the sheep are moved into a new section of grass (as part of our planned grazing schedule), the chickens come in and scratch and spread the manure, adding to the quality of our pastures.

Honey, Soy, Midnight and Lightning are our original crew of dorpers with twin lambs recently arriving in July 2017. Check out our facebook and instagram accounts for their progress.
